what is the design process?

  • initial consultation : discuss scope of project
  • timetable and budget contract : scope of work is defined and contract is set in place
  • client input : you talk we listen develop 
  • client brief : summarize project scope with a detailed program site documentation : photographic survey review existing drawings and site measure if required 
  • communication : co-ordinate with other Consultants & Suppliers                    
  • concept development : initial ideas presented at meetings communicated with sketches plans
  • concept refinement : refine concept and develop design drawings as well as finishes and specifications                                                  
  • design documentation : drawings and specifications are prepared                                                                                                          
  • pricing : distribute drawings for pricing and review preliminary budget : refine budget and adjust drawings and specification as required
  • implementation : ongoing consultation during construction phase                                                             
  • co-ordination : answer questions and solve site issues meet with trades and monitor construction                                                  
  • review : ensure your project is complete as per drawings and specifications and ready for occupancy
